Lady (the Christmas Sheltie) sends big licks to all and heartfelt wishes to all for a wonderful holiday and a healthy, happy and prosperous New Year. May all shelties in need find their wonderful forever homes (like she did) and all sheltie parents have another year of love and big licks from...
Our precious Lady is generally quiet in the house and only sounds the alarm if she hears something. When I get home from work I ask mom how the "munchkin" was today. Well, last week mom outdid herself and coined a new word. Lady was having an unusually barky day so mom said she was very...
Have to say it again...can't believe it is a year since we lost our very special and very wonderful rescue boy Laddie. We miss him every day. Funny thing... one of his favorite places to hang out was under our corner table, nicknamed "the cave". As of late, Lady has been going in and out of...
This past Sunday marked the one year anniversary of our wonderful rescue girl Lady. She is just the sweetest, most loveable, girl any sheltie lover could ask for. She has truly helped fill the hole in our hearts left by the loss of our Katie and then Laddie. She loves my mom (her "grandma") and...
My wonderful Katie was almost 17 when she passed. She was rescue but I was in touch with her original family for years. They got her from a store. Hard to tell with my angel boy Laddie - he was found as a stray so we don't know his background. Rescue thought he was 4 when I adopted him, but in...

My Katie was a real "grumbler". I called her the mistress of "growlspeak".
Lady hasn't grunted yet. She's the demure one, until it's time to go for her walk. Then it's yap, yap, yap!!
I would have to pick Jacqueline Kennedy for Lady. I can see her as having that sort of breathless, soft voice! She definitely lives up to her name - a real, dainty little Lady! I could definitely see her wearing the white gloves and pearls!!
Such a beautiful girl - she reminds me of my little girl Lady.
When I adopted my boy Laddie, he also came from an abused and frankly unknown background (he was found as a stray and didn't even have the benefit of a foster home as they were full up so he was at the rescue kennel).
He had a lot...
I would definitely have mentioned this to your vet. Many vet offices request their clients to refrain from having their dogs "socialize" while in the waiting room. Plus - you don't know if their dog is ill, etc. and you certainly don't want it affecting your pupper...
I would have definitely...
