    Sheltie Quirks

Awww! I loved reading all of these! So many of our puppers have the same quirks. Too cute! :D Here are some of Madi's: 1. She buries her tennis balls under the couch. We never taught her, she just does it. She grabs her ball, heads over to the couch, sets the ball down, grabs the...

    Couple Questions

Nope, like I said, I've been dealing with fleas since last summer. She was never infested, but there was always a few on her everytime she had a bath. I'd pull off 5 or 6. Anyways, I was using other products (store bought) and nothing was working, so I tried this cause I like the idea of...

Sheltie laying really close to space heaters?

We have a large vent in the wall in the kitchen and Eric (my son) and Madi fight over who gets it first LOL As soon as Madi hears the furnace kick on she runs to the kitchen and sprawls in front of the vent and lays there till it kicks off LOL And we keep our home pretty warm too (about 73...

    Couple Questions

Hi everyone :) It's been awhile since I've been here :o but I have a couple questions after taking Madi to her 1 year check-up. After scoring an A+ for her exam, the vet and I were talking about some things. I had asked about Madi's weight (which was 18 lbs) and she said she looked great...

    Dandruff??

Madi had this problem when we first got her. Her's was all along her back. It was yucky! Then when we switched dog foods and took corn out of her diet, her skin cleared up. We haven't given her anything with corn in it since and her skin is perfect :)

    Kia scheduled for Ultrasound !!

(((HUGS))) to Kia and her momma! Will be praying that all is well with her! Side note - Madi will drink her water out of the stainless steel bowl, but will not eat her food from it. She has to have a plate, even for kibble :rolleyes2: LOL

    Help to Sheltie Nation!

:biggrin2: Even though I don't get on here as often as I'd like, I still knew along time ago that this site was something special. I've gotten so much help and advice, many many laughs and learned how to take much better care of my baby. So I signed up a while back. I know not everyone...

    rabies lump

We had a boxer that we had this happen too. Scared us, but the vet said it was ok and would go away. It was and it did ;)

    Let me ask everyone this.........

So funny!! It amazes me how similar all our babies are! Everytime I think Madi is doing something "weird", I come here and see she's perfectly "normal". Well, at least in the sheltie world :biggrin2: If I do not latch the door, she follows right behind me. If I do latch the door, she will...

    New different behavior from Jasper

Awwww poor Jasper :( He sounds like he was so scared. No way would I ever go back to that trainer! I'm no where near a professional when it comes to giving advice on Shelties, but I think you have received some very good advice from others. I personally would just love on him lots and...

Sometimes it seems too much! Until....

I'm so sorry for your losses  I believe our animals will join us in heaven. How could they not? God created such a special bond between humans and their pets. I don't believe He would take that away from us. Hugs and Madi kisses to you and Bacca :smile2:

    Good/Bad Foods?

Is there anyplace I can find a list of what is and isn't good for our babies? I was giving Madi green beans the other night and my husband said they weren't good for her. I know of course chocolate and I've heard onions and garlic and grapes? Maybe together we can compile a list? GOOD...
