Daily Walks
Maggie has been given the green light for short walks. She is so happy to get out and check out all the good smells. She missed seeing her friends.
So short daily walks for now working up to going around the block again.
She has really made a great recovery.

Update on Maggie
Maggie had her appointment with the surgeon today and she is progressing just the way he wants her to. He said that she has good range of motion and he was happy to see that she is using her leg a little. It will be a couple of months yet until we can start our daily walks...
Quick update on Maggie
Maggie had her bandage off and stitches out on Friday. She will see the doctor that did the surgery next week so he can look her over and see if everything is going good. She is getting around pretty good. She is taking it easy which is a good thing.
Will know more...
Maggie at home
She has been pretty good staying quiet and not trying to run around too much since she injured herself. My other sheltie tries to get zoomies going but I stop them. I can't wait until I can let them just zoom around the yard to their hearts content. Maggie has a problem with...
Maggie's surgery
Maggie had her surgery yesterday and all went well. She didn't have a tear in her LCL so that was good news. After a night away from home she is coming home today. After about 8 weeks of recovery and she should be good as new.
Thanks again for all the response and support...
Good News
Maggie's eval went well. She is going to have surgery next Tuesday. I found a vet close to home that will do the surgery at about half of the cost of what I was afraid it was going to be if we had to go out of the area.
Thank you for all of the input and support. I will let you...
Maggie to get eval
Maggie has an appointment with a vet in the Lancaster area for an evaluation. I will know if this vet can do the surgery or if I have to take her somewhere else to have it done. Please cross your fingers and say a little prayer for Maggie that her injury is not as bad as I...
Thanks
I have heard of Care Credit but I was unaware that it could be used for vet care. I will look into that. I would still like to know a little more about the surgery and recovery so if anybody has gone through this I would love some input.
Help! My Sheltie tore her acl and lcl and is now facing surgery. I would like to know if anyone has had this surgery done to their sheltie and where I can go to get the best possible care for my girl. I live in southeast PA about an hour west of Philadelphia. The other problem I have is the...
