    Frustrated...help!

To be honest I never ever train with food. I find that like Caro said, if you are enthusiastic when they do something correctly, they start to respond to commands because they enjoy it. Be careful not to give empty praise, you really do have to mean it when you praise - scream and shout...

    Puppy lacking interest...

My old Sheltie never played with toys. She was so laidback and completely uninterested in running round playing crazily. After your pup has settled in, you might find it becomes more interested in playing with toys. As for training, you will find that treats aren't the only way to train them...

    Veni Vedi Vici . . .

Aw Madi is adorable. She's so lucky to have someone to take such good care of her! I know what it's like to have an overweight Sheltie - we tried in vain to get our late Lassie to shed some pounds but had no such luck. It's nice to her how Madi is progressing too :smile2:

I don't think it really makes much difference because they'll have to adjust to a new home and lifestyle whatever age you bring...

    Hidehi!

That's a fantastic idea! I'll definitely have to try that one out. Thank you for all the lovely welcomes, I'm sure I'll like it here. Just have to get myself acquainted with how everything works now :)

    Hidehi!

Hey I'm from the UK and it's terribly cold because it's snowing :dead:. My little Sheltie pup however, is absolutely loving the snow! She is nearly 15 weeks old and is called Carly. I'd share some photos but she's far too quick for me to take any photos  Anyway, it'll be nice to meet...
