    Raw meaty bones - yes or no??

    My girls love raw meaty bones. They get a variety of them as part of their diet, mostly chicken carcasses, pork riblets and turkey wings, as well they get beef bones for recreational chew bones. It keeps them busy, cleans their teeth and provides an excellent source of nutrition!

    Hello All!

    Tulip is older and reserved but not shy. Roxy is younger and spunkier. Both of them are not super friendly with people they don't know.     Thanks :) People stop me all the time to comment and ask "Are they related?" and then they ask " Do shelties have blue eyes?" Then when I start to explain about the merling gene their eyes glaze over...... :smile2:

    Vaccination confusion

    I agree 10 days old is way too early. In fact I have never heard of it being done that early. As another poster said the maternal antibodies would neutralize the antigen in the vaccine. The reccomended first shot is at 6-8 weeks, then every month. I wouldn't stress too much as your puppy...

    What strange things do your shelties bark at?

    Tulip barks at anything electric that buzzes eg coffee grinder, blender, food processor. She is far from being an excessive barker and usually doenst incessantly bark for no reason, but the frequency really bugs her I guess!

    Hello All!

    Hi my name is Miranda and I have a sheltie and a sheltie mix. Tulip is a 6 year old sable merle that I got from a rescue group, and Roxy is a 2 year old merlish that we rescued from someone who wasn't treating her right. They are both amazing dogs, but have completely opposite personalities...
