  • I tried to glue my shelties ears at 6 months. (i actually got some Chinese surgical tape from a breeder here in eugene) And I kept them taped never having them un-taped for more then 2 hrs until she was 10 1/2 months. They just wouldn't go down at all. Taping them didn't even budge them at all. Her ears were straight up when we got her, I think the ear was just too hard by the time we tried. I love her cute little ears now, but at the time i just wanted her to look like all the sheltie things I was buying. lol. Hope the cocoa butter works for ya!
Thanks, Chris. I will contact her. I know..he does look cute no matter what!! TOmorrow I will get some cocoa butter and see how that goes. Thanks so much. God bless. Terry
Oh dear! Well, I would do a couple of things if you uwant to keep trying.
    1. Get cocoa butter and rub some into the inside ear leather daily to soften it.
    2. Keep him glued until one year. Some Shelties take a long time. beckon's were set by 6 months, but some take a while -- it's not over until a year.

I didn't persist with Layla -- and I love her prick ears! Trooper is such a little doll, however his ears turn out. Also, try messaging Tofupup -- she's a real pro with ears and may have other suggestions.
    Take care!
    Warmly,
    Chris
