    Manners Minder?

Thank you Toffee's Mom! It's such a relief to know you can use the remote through walls. :biggrin2: Sounds like this thing has a ton of applications - I love your idea of using it to keep one dog stationary while working with the other. Thanks so much for your help!

    Manners Minder?

This looks like it could be great for Kelsea's separation anxiety/barrier frustration. Does anybody have experience with it? I'm curious how well the remote works - can it work through walls or from a distance? It'd be nice if I could dispense treats from it when I'm in another room or...

Fill in the blanks: My dog is such a drama queen because...

Wow, and I thought my sheltie was a prissy pants! Omg, I laughed til I cried, LOL. Kelsea will sometimes yelp if I step near her paws, but not like that. Once I accidentally bumped her foot with mine, just barely, and she jumped up with a yelp and started limping. Of course she stopped...

    Worried about her nails

Oops, I forgot to mention that I use diluted betadine. Sorry!

    Worried about her nails

Thank you both! I really hope so, too, just so she won't have to go back. Kelsea had to get her blood drawn for her annual heartworm test while we were there. They couldn't get enough blood the first time so they had to do it twice and she cried the whole time. She's a very shy dog and is...

    Worried about her nails

So the vet ended up finding some yeast after swabbing one of her affected nails, and gave me some medication for it, and some wipes. I guess that's better than an autoimmune disease, I'm just confused how a yeast infection could cause the whole nail to start coming off. Everyone in the clinic...

    Worried about her nails

Ouch, that does not look good, Tabitha. :( Is it causing Sarah any discomfort? Here's a couple more pictures of Kelsea's nail from today. The nail has separated from the quick. http://s1367.photobucket.com/user/gotsheltie/media/toe3_zps25b648fb.jpg.html...

    Worried about her nails

Thank you, PreciousSheltie and Justicemom. :hugs SLO is what I was afraid of. :( It doesn't sound like an easy thing to treat. Interestingly I just took her off salmon oil when this started.

    Worried about her nails

Thank you both. I will let you know what the vet has to say tomorrow. At least it doesn't seem to be causing her discomfort. I'm sure she would like to get back to our normal routine though, I know I would. :smile2: I've never heard of cysts on the pads, ouch! I hope Pixie is doing okay now.

    Worried about her nails

A little over a week ago, I found some blood near my sheltie's nail bed. I thought she had scratched herself somehow, no big deal, so I put some betadine on it. Well now it looks like her nail may be coming off. I scheduled an appointment with the vet, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask if...

    Hello from Minnesota

Hi everyone, I'm so thrilled to have found this forum. I can't tell you how much I've wanted to get to know other sheltie enthusiasts. :biggrin2: I only have one sheltie at the moment. Her name is Kelsea and she's about 7 years old now. Here's a picture of her...
