    Goodnight sweet Grace

On Saturday morning we had to say goodbye to our beautiful sheltie, Grace. Our hearts are breaking at the hardest decision we've had to make. She was our first ever doggie and she was the absolute best. Thank you for all the precious memories, Grace. If love could have saved you, you would have...

    No, just.....no

Oh my word. I am in awe! What a scallywag. I love that I've been here to catch Monty's latest antic. :D

    Harnesses can be deadly

That must have been so scary. As others have said, it's such a good job you were there. I had a harness for Grace when she was a puppy which she slipped in a car park. It was terrifying. Luckily she was easy to catch. Never used one since.

    Fluffy Friends

My phone made a video for me today, which I thought was very kind and thoughtful of it. I also thought I'd share here with you guys as I only have up a couple of photos of my pets.

We have purchased wet dog food and so far so good with the pills. Fingers crossed. Grace gets less kibble now though and she looks at me as much to say 'is that all?' You can't have both, Grace! :D

    Minnie's Sire, Keeper

Oh my what a handsome boy he was. I'm so very sorry for your loss and especially the breeder/owner. I totally understand the fear of losing them when they are under, such a tragic way to lose a beloved pet.

Thank you for all the lovely replies and support. I agree, Hanne is a great asset here and I've read many of your posts, Hanne over the last few days. This morning we tried the melted cheese around the tablet. Nope. Not even opening her mouth for that one. I even rubbed it around her teeth, but...

Another Sheltie or a rescue mixed breed?

I am not an expert in choosing dogs. But for what it's worth I've had cats all my life. I had a kitten when I was around 7 years old who lived with us until he was 15 years. And from then on when I left home I had rescues. My first cat was from a friend of a friend who couldn't look after him...

What is your Shelties super power?

Grace's superpower is cat tracking. She knows that when it's getting dark it's time for Merlin to come home, so she takes me out to track him down. It's takes her an awful long time even when he's only 2 minutes away but we always find him. To be fair, one of previous cats went missing and she...

Kitty is called Merlin. He's roughly 2 years and a rescue. He just seems to keep on growing and is a right longshanks. :D

    Subcutaneous Mast Cell Tumour

We had a very good check up today. Stitches look good. Incontinence probably due to urine retention from yesterday and should right itself over next 24hours. She is bright and alert and bordering on bouncy. And the best news. The pathology came back on the removal on Friday. They got clean...
