Welcome to sheltie nation and I think you will find a lot of friends. I see you are from SC and I am from Augusta, GA so we are like neighbors. I am also new to this forum and look forward to becoming a premiere member. I have 2 adult shelties and a 11 1/2 wk. old baby. All three are sables...

Surprisingly PetSmart does a great job on bathing and grooming them. I just tried a new groomer that is closer to me so I thought why not try them. I will never go there again. It has been 4 months since he was shaved and his coat is about half grown back. Aaarrrggg!! Back to PetSmart I go!!

Thanks to all for being so nice to welcome me to this forum. I love it!! Also thanks for the compliments on my 3 shelties. I spend a lot of time grooming as it relaxes me and makes the bonding stronger. I have a friend, Nanette of Vanguard Shelties, that helps me with setting the ears. I...

I have a personal website that you can see all my shelties, including Bailey. Go to www.maryspetphotos.com and enjoy. I love taking pictures of all 3 of my boys. I don't sell anything; it's like a journal for each one of them. I haven't taken pictures of Kirby lately as a groomer shaved him...

    Small grey spots on nostril

I'm not familiar with this and I think letting your vet take a look at it is a very good idea. How old is your sheltie?

Thank you very much Danisgoat. I plan to become a premium member just as soon as I get paid. I am hoping to show my 11 wk. old sheltie but he may grow to be a little over sized. Right now he is at the top of the safe area. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Hello everyone, I am new to this forum and I find it very beneficial. Three shelties own me. Their names and ages: Kirby, a little over 2 yrs. old; Dakota, a little over 1 yr. old, and my new puppy of 11 weeks. His name is Bailey. They are the loves of my life and I know I will be needing...

    Puppy Shots

I have a 11 week old sheltie puppy and he just had his second shot. He got his first shot at his breeders home and she shows her shelties. She said it is safe to be around other dogs and puppies as long as they have had at least the first shot. I am taking him to Kindergarten 101 puppy...

First day at home! And a bit concerned...

What you are experencing sounds all to familiar to me as I just got a fabulous new male puppy three weeks ago and I had a 4 hr. drive. He cried half the way and slept the last half. He didn't eat much for about a day and a half and then he started eating like there was no tomorrow. It just...

    whiskers or not?

Wiskers or Not? I don't show but I do keep my 3 shelties whiskers trimmed using a whisker whacker. It goes over the whiskers very easily and I just like the neater look. I think it shows off their intended expression. By using the whisker whacker vs. the sharp point of a pair of scissors, it...
