Still no limping! I’m starting to suspect Simparica Trio may have been the cause? We changed to it in November and that’s when he had his first sign of a limp. He had it in November, December, and January, but I did NOT give him his next dose due in March because I wanted to see how he was...

We did have videos and they were very helpful. The hope is it has something to do with the hard vinyl plank flooring and his feet falling asleep for a little big when he gets up from there.

Thank you for your thoughts. He’s been dealing with this on and off for awhile now and we did run a complete Lyme panel which includes many other Lyme related diseases. I would think something would have shown up somewhere?

We have tried those on our other dogs. They didn’t want to use them. I’m thinking since Marty sleeps so well at night that this might be the way to go. I purposely looked for a human grade type of mattress topper. We will see??

Update: Both Neuro and Ortho examined Marty today and once again, could not find anything wrong. No pinched nerves, or any reaction to the physical exam whatsoever. They viewed the videos we sent in and said ‘this looks like a completely different dog than was here before”. Marty had shown...

Update: Marty’s bloodwork came back showing “Negative” to Lyme and other tick related diseases (we did the full panel). Complete panel came back great. We stopped Meloxicam as of Sunday in prep for Friday’s recheck appointment with the ortho and Neuro doctors. Paws and fingers crossed we...

We took Mr. Marty in for bloodwork this morning. We did a complete panel on him to have a “baseline” going forward. He’s just under 2 year’s old. We also added a full Lyme panel. Lyme is not prevalent in our area at all, but you never know and we felt better having it ruled out completely...

Being we weren’t allowed in the examine room, I’m really not sure? I don’t know why it would be rotating to different limps though if it were his elbows? Thank you Caro for your thoughts.

As of this afternoon, the limping returned. Strangely, it was after he had a long bath? Coincidental, I’m sure. We are thinking he may be also limping on a front leg as well. I’ve wondered this before, but it was so fast that I wrote it off because nobody else saw it and I wasn’t sure i saw...

Thank you too for your input. The Neurologist will also be available for next week’s appointment too, if we end up needing it. If we do, I will definitely mention this possibility. These furkids sure keep us hopping, don’t they! ;-).
