Thanks so much everyone. I thought the grief might be a little better today, but it's not. I walked into the kitchen this morning, and started sobbing because her bowls weren't there. I keep expecting to see her laying in her favorite spots. I live alone, and now the place just feels so empty.

She would have been 13 years old on Dec. 26. She was a rescue that I adopted when she was 8 1/2. I didn't have much time with her, but she was a true joy. I am heartbroken.

Thank you Cindy! I didn't name her, but she was born on 12/26, so I imagine that's why her previous owner gave her that name. This is such a tough position to be in. If only our fur babies could talk to us. I think Noel might also be losing some of her hearing. She doesn't hear the door open...
