  • hi,
I was wondering if you have any pics posted of Gussy Gus? I understand is his a tall guy. It's so hard to tell a dogs size from pics unless there is more than one in the pic.
Oh, and my Judah is a Merle too. He seems to change color weekly.
Just responding to the post you made on Dec. 16th about Gussy Gus stealing a hot Italian link and a double-stuffed pork chop and running through the throwing them up in the air and catching them, so funny. But what a good boy to listen and know what "leave it" is, so you were able to get both out of his mouth. Also when your Dobie Angel Mad Maddy Lou, scarfed down the whole raw habanero pepper. That whole paragraph was such a riot, as well. I could visualize it. Funny Stuff! Thanks for sharing. I needed those laughs.
I left you a message in your post about Gus not barking. I used to live in the country and miss it a lot.

I just realized that there is something important you need to know for Gus if you have many acres. My puppies didn't have a good sense of direction when they were young and would take off and not be able to find their way home. Once they got older, about a 1 1/2 years, they got their sense of direction. It's a good idea to walk them around your property as much as you can, while they're on leash. I thought my other shelties would watch out for the puppy, but no such thing.

Hope you and the dogs enjoy your new home.
I just dropped in to see if you had a picture of Gus in your profile. Is that him up there?? He's so beautiful. How old is he in that picture? I love merles and hope to own one someday.
I just wanted to say hello and welcome. I noticed that you are new to our forum. I hope you will enjoy it as much as the rest of us do. How many shelties do you have? Any pictures????? (we love pictures) I have two, Chinook and Maia. Welcome.
