Rnluvspups, I'm glad you have another pupper to help you through with the hugs and tears. I'm certain Gracie must miss Aussie as well. I don't know if you have been reading your thread about Austin but there are tons of people replying to your Call for help at this difficult time. They are asking for you to return to the thread so they can show how much they care and are willing to help in any way they can. So if you can find it in your heart to just send a post on your thread to let them know you have read their posts and they know you are doing as well as can be expected . remember we know what you are going through. God bless and keep you and Gracie and know that Aussie bear is and will be waiting at the Rainbow Bridge along with all our Sheltie Angels.

His Name Is Austin. I Am Doing The Same With His, I Want Him With Me Forever. I Called Him "aussie Bear" Because He Had Such A Thick, Beautiful Coat. Today Is 7 Days Since He Left Me, The Worst Week Of My Life. But, Luckily I Still Have My Gracie And She Is Keeping Me Going. I See Her Sadness Too. It's Like We Look At Each Other And Know We Both Hurt. I Am Sorry About Your Loss.

Sympathy can't fill the void of the great loss of this handsome fellow as you well know being a hospice RN. The love these beautiful pals bring is just so awesome because they give it without any attachments. Please know I feel your grief. the tragic loss is the worse kind. The more difficult to get over. But you have found the best place to help you. I just love this forum and the people here really know how you feel what your going through because we have all been that route. May I ask What the handsome fellows name is ? He is a gorgeous Blue Merle just as my Jewel was a Blue Merle. She was 10 when she passed. She passed trajically as well. We sent her in for a dental cleaning and we got the call to pick her up for 4 then a few minutes later a call to tell us she was in cardiac arrest and they were administering CPR. I needless to say was devistated and told them to let her be at peace. It took me almost a year to get over it. I still find myself tearing up as I'm doing now. They touch our heart and soul as no other can. I've had many animals in my 54 years and My Jewel was the most difficult one to lose. May God be with you and know that Memories can never be taken away. I have both Jewel and Tashas' ashes here at home with photos of them. They are to be buried with me when I pass.
