I have an almost one year old sheltie, who has been crated from a puppy. I believe it's the best thing ever for him to sleep in, and also use it while setting up equipment at agility etc. My problem is he hates it. Everynight we have to carry him to the crate and put him in. He doesn't...

Thanks Caro, I read your advice on the previous thread, and very much appreciated it. I think my biggest problem is, is that I've been thinking Henry is now an "adult", but he's obviously still an adolescent and I need to be mindful of this. So thank you, it certainly has calmed...

Thanks for the direction to the debarking thread, I've never heard of it until now, made for interesting reading.....

This is a little off the subject, but you said your sheltie had been "neutered and debarked"......Do you mean the vocal cord operation??? Is this really done on a regular basis??? I know shelties, including ours, can be nuisance barkers, but is this a routine procedure ???
