    Will my sheltie like agility?

First off, your boys are so handsome! I love their coats. I'm hoping Asher's will grow out that great soon enough, but I know that blue merles take quite a bit longer sometimes. Thank you also for all those pictures! I went through all of them. Couldn't help myself haha I especially love it when...

    My new baby girl :)

I just went through all of the pictures and she is an absolute sweetheart! That's exciting. Congratulations! What a beautiful Bi blue. Keep posting picture updates please. I love watching the progression from puppy shelties through adulthood. Reminds me of my little blue merle when he was a...

    Will my sheltie like agility?

Haha that's too funny. I wonder how my pup will react. It seems like a tricky thing to teach. The jumps he's going to conquer really quickly, but weaving is another story. He weaves through my legs (he'll do it about 5 times then start to get frustrated and jump up at my face) so maybe that'll...

    Will my sheltie like agility?

It sounds like it. Thank you! I'm going to make more jumps as the kit I want to purchase is really small. PVC piping, I've heard, is the best way to build your own agility set. And you are completely right. I will make sure to find him a class and see if that can help me help my dog.

    Will my sheltie like agility?

Equipment, no matter for which sport can become dangerous when used without caution. It's always a good reminder to have. That's so traumatizing for the poor family. It could have been unavoidable for sure. Agility is fun, but it also is meant to be taken seriously, to an extent at least. The...

    Will my sheltie like agility?

Oh wow. That's terrible! Thank you so much for telling me. I will be sure to put it away properly. That's tragic for the poor family. And worse, the dog had no chance nor was it his/her fault. Unfortunately, a lot of the kits that I've found are expensive (as are new hobbies), but I managed to...

    Will my sheltie like agility?

I think that he will too k9kreationz. He enjoys being active in any way, shape, or form. So this will just be a great way to get his energy out and have fun at the same time. SheltieChe, I definitely understand that. Thank you for putting it into that perspective. I hope to just do agility for...

    Will my sheltie like agility?

k9kreationz: Evaluating his actions, I believe that he mostly does all that he does because he loves it. For training, he seems to love the challenge. Frisbee presents the same thing, only he can run which is a huge bonus for him. How do you know if your dog is doing something because they enjoy...

    Will my sheltie like agility?

Hey guys! So I'm thinking of buying an agility set for my dog. He's now 2 and a bundle of energy. I've taught him tricks galore, frisbee, and now I'm contemplating agility. What traits would you say make up a sheltie who truly loves agility? I don't want to force him into something he hates...

    Backyard advice

Yeah it's the right thing to do. I know that I'll have a dog eventually. Heck, I know that I will have many. After all, being a future dog trainer, I will have those opportunities. And yes I do volunteer at a humane society. The one near my college is a good hour bus ride away though. They...

    Backyard advice

I completely agree with everyone. Right after I shut my computer I reminded myself of the possible threats of eagles and coyotes and such. Especially in that area. I also firmly decided that I won't get him if I live with my Brother and Sis-in-law. It's just not right. I was keen on the idea of...

    Backyard advice

Hey guys! I have a critical question. Could a sheltie puppy (say 3 months) be left in a backyard while I was at work and/or school? I'm still not sure if I'm getting him, but, I would have to leave him in the backyard during those times. The breeder just gave me a picture of him. He's so...

Jake thinks the cows are up to something

Haha Poor Jake! He is such a sweetheart. And well mannered too. I'm with you on that one. He probably just reallly wants to bark but can't so chooses to whine. It's funny how our dogs will weasel their way out of situations. Smarty pants! Anyways, 10 thumbs up for cuteness!
