12 weeks old puppy weight

i am feeding my 12 weeks old puppy 1 cup of Royal Canin puppy food per day. I give him 1/3 cup 3 times a day, so 1 cup total .He finishes his bowl real quick. I was at the vet yesterday for his second vaccin et he weighs 7.9 lbs. what can I expect his adult weight to be

It is very hard to predict a sheltie's adult weight. It could anywhere from 15-25 pounds. How tall is he? What is the height and weight of his parents?

Just keep on eye on his weight. I prefer to feed a puppy as much as they want because they're growing, burn a lot of calories and need the nutrition, but if the puppy starts getting pudgy, I cut back on food. The extra weight can cause stress on growing bones.

Is it possible that you ask the breeder? If she's a good breeder then she was probably measuring her pups as they grew and could probably give you a ballpark number for his adult height and possible weight.
