14 week old - 12" and 12.6lbs - right on? or gonna be big?

hi:
My little dexter is now 14weeks old and 12" at the shoulders. Vet checkup this past Tuesday had him at 12.6lbs - - he doubled in the 5 weeks since his last visit . At a little over 8 weeks old he was 6lbs.

So is he on or will he be larger? Someone told me he may be a bigger sheltie..
either way I llove him so its fine if he goes big.

He is right at the top of the charts for his age. If he holds,he'll be around 16".

Only time will tell. My boy Porter has been riding the top of the charts on and off his whole life. I think he was around 12lbs at 14 wks. He is 6 months now and I still don't know if he will be insize. He had a huge grow spurt 2 weeks ago and grew 3/4in(lost all his knuckle) in 1 wk and since then has not grow even a 1/8" in 2wks. and fell back insize on the charts. I told him he could stop any time.:wink2:

As for my little Zoey...she is 16.5 weeks old, 8.75" and 4 lbs 5.7 ounces...she is a midget!

ahhh a little sheltie!! I would have preferred him to be smaller but as I said - I love my little (I guess soon to be big) Dexter

I should give Dexter coffee - KIDDING !!: when I was a kid I would always want to try coffee since all the adults drank it. - - my parents would tell me coffee would stunt my growth. .

Ha ha after Porter had his big growth spurt. I told Rachel, POrter's co onwer. we need to start feeding him some coffe to stunt his growth. :lol: That's what my parents told me too.
 
Merlin at his vet check last week weighed 4.9kg (10.78lbs) and has just crept to the 12in mark, his growth seems to be slowing at the moment.

My pup, at 12 weeks old, was 12.5 inches and weighed 9.5 pounds.

She is now just under 16". It really is hard to say how they will mature...I was so worried that she was going to go oversize, but our breeder assured us that she wouldn't. She honestly got tall pretty quickly, and then that was it!
