Chin up, Im sharing you misery...but with number 2 mostly.
I hope you are finding success limiting water time. People here are fairly good with the answers. EVERY FIVE MINUTES...sounds like drinking out of boredom. I hope it works for you.
So, if not...Just wondering could the pee behavior you are experiencing be marking behavior? Did another dog/cat live in the house at sometime. Even a scent soaked into floorboards/ under carpet? That would be the next thing I would think of.
As for our house, Occasional puddle at 4 months. Mostly barks or whines to go out. But after she outside tinkles, she wants to romp /play. She has not made the connection there is more business to be done on Occasion. We let her out there twenty minutes, standing by and showing her her last outside poo (sometimes we've placed them outside so she gets the idea)....then she comes in and hits the papers. Tried removing papers, altogether....now mopping floor more frequently. Since they don't go 2, every time they go number 1, I am a bit perplexed. The regulated feeding schedule doesn't seem to matter. I'm am really frustrated as well.
I read( Monks of New Skete training book) that they should be leashed so they know to do their business on command, but all she wants is to bite leash and sometimes the harness is not on at the time. We have not fully mastered walking on leash, as here pavement if to hot for puppy-feet until deep fall arrives. So we are limited to backyard where she want to play. What to try next? She is contained all the time with a gate, rarely gets to join the family on carpeting. I feel bad she is exiled to the laundry room or her crate more than she should be.
