Northeast Get Together

Is there a place that could be mid point for those that arent going like in NY state so people dont have to make 5 to 6 hour drives?I was talking to Doug today and he said he would go.

That would be REALLY helpful to me, but for some reason that I can't remember, I thought the current location was more convenient for most people to get to.

The location isn't convenient for everyone. The northeast is pretty large. :eek2:

Of course, this doesn't have to be the only meet up in the northeast. Any member can organize something in their area if they want to.

I am sure you guys could make another meet up more north.

If you do that, maybe we should go a bit more south to get the PA people and MD people?

Hi Sharon et al

I was surfing the net for dog parks in western connecticut. There seems to be one in Norwalk (rowayton). I don't know anything about it but I'll keep checking.

So where do we stand with this meetup? Is it going to happen? Who do we know is going to be there?

We're going to try to be there but I need to know that its happening before I commit, since its such a long drive for us.

It is right off of Interstate 287 up near the border with NY.

My friend lives in Ringwood. I can ask her if she knows of any decent inexpensive hotel accomodations up there that take dogs (it is 1.25 hours north of me so I am not too familiar with the area, other than the barn where sally is). It is pretty there too. There is a road, Skyline Drive, where you can see the NYC skyline off in the distance.

I looked up a couple of hotels, I'll run the names by you some time soon, if you could ask your friend if she is familiar with any of them.
