2011 Northeast Meet Up

Hello all, sorry I have not visited in a while. I was reading thru this thread and wrote down a few locations. There seems to be:

Ct - 4 members
Mass - 1
NY - 1
NJ - 2
RI - 1
Baltimore -1

If There is some I have missed, i'm sorry. I think we need to split the difference and have a get together somewhere near the ct/ny boarder. Doing a quick search I find ny has stricter dog laws then ct. Not to rule out ny, they don't seem to allow dogs near picnic areas.
How about some park in or near Kent, ct?, Macedonia has a park.
September would be a nice cool time of year and not during any peak season.
I think most will do a 2-4 hr. trip but not a 5-6 hr trip.
Just my thoughts....let me know what you think.

Kent, CT would work for me. It's about a 2 hour drive from where I live. Would more of you be able to attend if it was there?
 
Thats even further away for us, but at this point unless it was going to be somewhere like Niagara Falls NY, we won't be able to make it. :(

Oh well, maybe another time.
 
Northeast Get Together

Have you considered having it at a agility trial?There are trials where you can cookout and still have fun and watch the trial and bring your dogs?Great trial area in the fall also.
 
Hello and questions

:smile2:Please add another Connecticut Sheltie family to the list. We wd be interested in a Sept meetup in the Kent area (a little under 2 hr drive for us). And mt be able to bring our pack--our Angus and our friend with her Tucker and Kelsey, both splendid lovely dogs
 
We live in MA, but both our Shelties were from a rescue in CT so depeneding on how far into CT I might be able to talk DH into returning. They don't get to meet many other Shelties, it would be fun.
