3yr. old in HIGH KILL SHELTER IN CA.

Wonderful News!!!! Thank you Dawn for posting the thread and getting the forum members attention and thank you Dawn for constantly calling the rescue and keeping us updated!

Well, I guess I'll have to be a Cardinals fan now too (originally a Bronx girl, so I have Yankees genes)! Beisbol been berry berry good to us!

Elaine LaRussa a St Louis Cardinals wife is the donor who payed for all 40 dogs to be pulled. Bless your heart Elaine.

That is so cool! How did she find out about it? What are they doing with all the dogs? Are there mutiple rescues involved? This is so fabulous. When I went to that shelter Sat. I had to seriously put my blinders on. It was so overwhelming to see all those dogs and not have any way to help them. I love this lady!!!! Thank you, Elaine!!

Dawn I am not sure how she found out but so many people were sharing the page Whiskey was on that she may have come across it on FB also. I have friends who do rescue in Alaska,California,Florida to Jersey and I'm just a little girl in Baltimore so imagine all the friends she has that were probably networking as well about some of the dogs there.

All I know is she is an Angel.

I'll talk to my friend who origionally posted Whiskey and adopted her dog from there. She knew it was Elaine so may know where the others have gone. I do know Southland Sheltie rescue posted they had gotten Whiskey and 40 dogs total out.

I did a web search. She and her husband Tony have an animal rescue organization, ARF. They have a FB page. I'm sure they must have been notified of this situation, too. SSR said they had over 100 calls about this one sheltie! He was a high profile boy....Go Whiskey!

AMAZING!! Our prayers were sure answered in a much bigger way than we ever thought!!

Yes...she's truly an Angel.

? .. did that include the shelties and others over at Dogs Day Inn @ the Devore Shelter too?

I know it feels like Christmas!!

I don't know about the other dogs at the Dogs Day Inn shelter. I'll try to find out. I'm pretty sure the 2 shelties there aren't available for adoption yet, They are still being held for the owner to claim.
