The Sheltie Rescue of central NJ is having their 9th Annual Sheltie Rescue Picnic on October 9th.

Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; GAMES - RAFFLE - FUN -VENDORS

All shelties are welcome ~ RESCUES, whether adopted from us, a shelter or other sheltie rescue are invited for the special Parade of Rescues.

Games are open to all shelties from breeders or rescue.

Picnic is at Deer Path Park in Hunderdon County, NJ. Go to Hunterdon County Parks and click on Deer Path Park for directions. Photos of past picnics are on our webpage.

I will share the flyer once it is available.

It would be great if we could have a meet up at the picnic!

Sure.....you can definitely get a sheltie fix here, and there are grills for cooking out. Lots of activities. It could definitely work. The only problem I see is that it is on a Sunday, which is harder for people to travel home from.
 
Yep, Sunday is no good for us since it looks like it's about 8.5 hours from me.

Also, starting 10/11 is USDAA Nationals in Louisville, so we'll be there at least the following weekend.
 
Shetland Sheepdog Specialty

I am trying to decide between going to the Sheltie Rescue Picnic, or to the Shetland Sheepdog Specialty in Macungie PA.

My daughter would like to get a Rally title on Chloe, and this would be a great opportunity to try and get a leg.

WHY do they have to have these two events on the same day :no:
 
I will be there! I probably won't be going at the start time of 9am. I'll probably be there around 12-1. It's the day after my club's first CPE trial, so I'll be pretty exhausted.
