Hey there!!
I have a 5 months old sheltie (dob April 9th,2012), named Acie. I am wondering. When I first got her at 16 weeks old, she didn't have black tint to her hair on her shoulder blades (on both side). But the last 2 weeks or so, it seemed to come in from nowhere. And it's becoming more obvious. It just seems darker today than it did a week ago. I'm just wondering if this means her hair color will be changing??

Close up of her shoulder blades where there's blackish tints coming in? It wasn't there when we first got her.

Does this mean her undercoat hair is coming in and it's gonna be with black tints or what? Not that I care but I'm just curious cause I am documenting everything in her baby book and I just wanna be able to "explain" this in her baby book with her photo as well!

Not all sables get that dark. Justice is a dark Mahogany Sable. He is Bi factored. His Dad is a Bi black. That is about as sable as I get around here.
