About permanent teeth

My poppy is changing his permanent teeth.
But I found there are two temporary teeth haven't off, new permanent teeth growing out.:(
Do I need to take my poppy to animal hostipal to take temporary teeth out ?

How old is Poppy and how far in are the new teeth? Which teeth are they?
 
Pretty early in teething. Sounds like premolars , they usually fall out on their own and don't push back on the adults much. The baby teeth around it should loosen up soon. Give him something to chew on and that should knock them out.:smile2: If the adults are over half the way in and your worried take in to the vet for a quick look.
 
Bailey had the same issue. Her adult canine's grew in and her baby canine's were still retained. They finally fell out on their own when she was 6 months old. If they didn't fall out, the vet was going to remove them when she got spayed at 7 months old.

Poppy is only 4 months old, so I wouldn't worry about it. Unless the baby teeth are going to interfere with the growth of the adult teeth.
 
Same thing happened to Sadie when she was teething. It was especially noticeable with her K9's. At one point there were two sets of K9 teeth sticking out, one beside the other, which was very weird looking. I a bit worried, but the baby teeth which hadn't fallen out yet were all loose and fell out within approx. a week.

I didn't notice this at all with Ginny. Sadie refused to chew anything when she was teething, whereas Ginny chewed what ever I gave her, which is probably the difference. I only ever found one of Ginny's teeth, where as I was constantly finding Sadie's teeth all over the house.

Same thing happened with Lexi. She had 3 full-sized canines for awhile (well, 1 baby one and 2 adult ones). The vet said they would pull them during her spay, but it came out around 6 months. She does a lot of tugging, so I think that contributed.

She also has a bad bite, so her occlusion (the way she bites) is off, so it made it harder for the baby teeth to be pushed out right away.
 
We're not seeing a whole lot of action going on in Jaspers mouth either.He has lost all his little baby teeth in front,top & bottom,but that is about it.

Pretty slow going here.
But we were finding teeth left & right here with Trapp at 5 months.I even re-call a bloody mouth incident with him.Poor Brian I thought he was going to have stroke that day.:yes:

That happened with Justice he was chewing on a Chill bone(frozen cholth toy) and I was working on the computer. I turned around to check on him and blood all over his face,ruff, front legs, toy and floor. I thought he bit his tongue. I checked him and 7 teeth fell out at once. He was closer to 5.5 almost 6 months before he started teething. Ember started about the same time and DIva started at 4 months and was done but 5 month.

When Megan was teething and losing teeth, I found them all over the place also! A couple of times she had a little blood on whatever it was that she was chewing on. She would stop what she doing and start a chewing motion which usually ended with a little tooth on the ground, OR sheesh she have swallowed a few :uhoh:.
