Bailey just got a bath on Sunday night. It's been 4 days and I am still enjoying her fresh smell. However, I'm not enjoying all the shedding that came with bathing her in warm water.

Cran and Callie got groomed on Sat- Callie is still gorgeous- both smell great still

Good Luck with Indy
Merlin is probably getting his pre winter bath today. My auntie has to do the pre groom and nails etc over several days as it's a bit much for him all in one go now. Still, worth it as he does look fab when done
Indy update....all good! The funky smell disappeared so I have no idea where it was coming from!

Gibbs got a bath 2 days ago. I'm seriously thinking of investing in a dog dryer to cut down the drying time. He's also always getting get by playing in the water dish, sprinklers, and rain, so he's gets stinky pretty quickly.
Even when Cran plays in the swampond, he doesn't get really stinky. as soon as he dries and the dirt magically disappears, you would never know that he had been filthy
Giibs does this daily though. I dry him every time and get him as dry as possible. It still doesn't take long before he stinks. He LOVES water and gets wet every single day.
I do feel for you
When we go out walking with friends who have beardies and spaniels they are always very jealous that my shelties will mince round all the puddles and come home looking like they are going to a show whereas their spaniels dive into all the muddiest puddles and the long beardie hair sweeps the common clean! I guess I've been lucky so far with my two but I have heard of 'water shelties' and they don't clean up as quick as the spaniels If mine get wet in the rain I rough dry with a towel and then later when they are drier I will give the coat a quick brush through which lets the air get in and this seems to help clear what I call the 'claggy' dog smell.

It's very true! If the dogs get into mud, I just towel them off as best I can. If you leave it to dry, the mud will normally just fall off, and their paws are white again!
We also don't generally have alot of problem with dog smell either.
Sometimes I just sprinkle them both with baby powder and give them a quick fluff with the brush. Smells great!
