Annie goes psycho over blowing leaves

My four year old sheltie paces against the glass doors and whines and cries when it is windy. She's relentless and will stay there all day. Our porch gathers many leaves and she's goes completely crazy. Anyone heard of this? She also loses her composure when you open the freezer door to get ice. I worry about her driving herself nuts.
 
Chasing leaves??

I think she would love to be out there chasing those bad leaves !!:lol: My, Kiara, loves to chase leaves, bubbles when I blow them outside she goes bananas!!:biggrin2: The ice cube thing try giving her one . Kia loves ice cubes.
 
Cali goes absolutely crazy with leaves too! She loves to go running through huge piles of them at full speed! As for the ice cubes, try giving her one. Cali will knock anything and anybody in her path to get a ice treat!
 
Romeo goes nuts when I open the freezer door. He'll run from wherever he is when he hears the door open and then shove his face against the plastic compartments and proceed to lick them (driving my mother mad!). He now has his own ice tray with fish shaped ice cubes that have one small treat in them.

I have just started reading the book How Dogs Think by Stanley Coren and he was discussing the hearing ability of dogs. He suggested that sometimes dogs go nuts over things we find completely normal because they can hear higher frequencies than we can. So perhaps, if 1sunnygirl's dog isn't going crazy happy at the freezer, it could be a high pitched whine coming from the fridge when it's opened? Coren also suggested that rustling leaves also make sounds at high frequencies which can be heard by dogs but can't be heard by humans.
