Another ear Question

You know, I actually considered doing velcro once... glue it to the moleskin where you could pull the ears up on top, and to where you could flip the tips down, and it would make adjustments so easy. I had also thought about snaps, but that's not quite as adjustable.
I may give the velcro a try next time I'm out of hair between the ears to use.
It could be worse for us though. I was looking at how they did doberman ear setting, and it's more labor intensive than a shelties.
 
I use Jap. Ear tape for folding down the ears and hair extension glue from Sally's beauty supply for bridging. I don't have to reset for at least two weeks. It gives a great set! I've even had pro handlers comment me on my dog's ears. :biggrin2::cool:

I had the same thought myself! You can buy velcro in sticky-back strips!

So velcro-ears to match our velcro-pups (they stick like glue, until you tear them away!) :biggrin2:
 
LOL I love the chewing gum idea but I know Liz would be nipping at Titan's ears constantly wanting to chew the gum :lol:

I used Jiffy Sew on one of Titan's ears that popped up and I haven't had to touch it since - been at least three weeks now. Luckily, the other ear is still down (at least for now) :biggrin2:

You are going to need to glue remover at some point. It's not easy to find something that works without irritating the pup. Better to have some on hand now, before you need it! I didn't and had to leave with 10 days of unglued, gummy ears - before I could reglue again!

I finally found Detachol (it's a bandage adhesive remover) on eBay. It worked great and didn't bother him at all. Forget Goo Gone! They hate the smell and it's very oily. Yuck!
