I must say I am surprised to hear about the snarling. Everything I have read so far talks about how they are very friendly and social, even to strangers. All of the huskies we have met would run up to us to be petted.
Grooming and shedding doesn't bother me. I have a forced air dryer that helps cut down shedding when the dogs are blowing coat, I just take them outside on the grooming table and let the fur fly! I also grew up with german shedders so...
Yes she is probably set on them because of their looks, but then again who doesn't start to look at a certain breed because of the way they look. She was actually debating between a husky and a border collie at first, but decided on the husky. I have made sure she has read a lot about them, which was hard for her to do being dyslexic.

We do plan on using a backpack when he/she is old enough and we will be at least teaching him to pull a wagon. I also have a small agility set up in the backyard. So I am hoping between that and obedience training we can keep her happy.
