Thank you Ann. I know we will get through it, we always do. This is the first time we have not had 2 dogs together and I think it makes it that much harder as there is nothing else to focus on.

My heart hurts for your family. Losing a family member is so hard. I lost my 11 year old in july and i so miss him. You guys are in my thoughts and prayers.

Thank you Sylvia. We were anticpating Aeriel would be with us for much longer as we head into our retirement in the near future. Enga was 13 yrs when we lost her and Annie 12yrs so 8 yrs, 8 months and 5 days just wasn't what we were expecting. We got her when she was a little of over 3 years old so we had Aeriel about 5 yrs which just seems too short for such a lovely girl.
Aeriel had some quirks but had a personality with us that was unreal and made many happy days for us and for that we were very lucky to have her in our life.
 
What a lovely girl your Ariel was and what a shock this must have been. I hope that there is another sheltie in your future with its own endearing quirks and buckets of love for you and your wife.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. We recently (9-10-08) lost our Jack suddenly, he was almost 6 yrs old. Gorgeous little lady your Ariel is !!!

I know it just like lossing a family member, because they are. Your album tributes to all your Furkids is extremely well done . They all touch our hearts in their own special way. Please know you and your family are in my thoughts and Prayers during this difficult time.:cry:
 
Thanks to you all for your wonderful words

I have not been back for a few days as this loss has been even tougher than those we have faced in the past. We have an emptiness in our home and our hearts and has been hard to deal with but as time passes it will ease but her memory I hope will not diminish.
