I want to blow this place "leave for the day" and head to down town vancouver to take our new sheltie. she is a little smaller then our last one but need a back pack to put her in for a skytrain ride "no dogs allowed" onto the skytrain.

The other option is to put on dark glasses, use a stick and wrap a service dog vest on my sheltie and wonder if I can get away with it. I am sure if I sent a pic to my wife doing this while in the skytrain her frined will bust out laughing :)

One backpage idea on this page.

Are you kidding me? Don't put your dog in a backpack to sneak her on a train.. and people who try to pass their pets off as service animals just hurt the people who actually have service animals. Businesses become untrusting and skeptical, and that ends up causing problems with people who actually require the assistance of service dogs.

Surely you can find an alternate form of transportation or pick somewhere else to go.

Seeing as there have been some issues with the Sky train recently, with it shutting down, requiring people to walk off the train to the station, I would not be taking my dog on it. I also would be concerned about the heat of the cement/asphalt downtown.
