I wanted to post this topic for quite a while but was uncertain how it would be taken. Since there is a lot of poop talk..I figured heck why not.
Does your Sheltie belch a lot?
My Maverick belches like a drunken sailor. I mean he would put a male sorority house to shame. And it is not a quiet little sound like" Honey was that just Maverick burping??" :confused2:

Its loud!! and I mean beer drinking contest loud!! And quite often right in my face

I always thought that it was because he ate so fast. Honestly he does not chew he just swallows his food whole. Now that I have a second dog Ryder. And he does recognize that he has teeth and does chew his food. He is a big belcher too.
Do I just have very rude or gaseous dogs? or is this common with Shelties?

Both of my dogs burp all the time. In my face, usually not long after they eat. How nice of them. :rolleyes2:

No burpers here. But when fed eggs or pork, they can clear rooms with the farts.

several of mine are belchers...I take it as a compliment as in thanks for the yummy meal :lol:

Of Course than I have Six who does it on any occasion as in after a big drink...eating a cookie...eating what ever he can find etc...And it has to be nice and loud so you can hear!

I have never caught my dogs burping, but letting out gas, Maverick is the king. I often wonder what had gotten into while outside. Help me if Paladin has gas also!
