Bellyrubs!

Gavin loves his bellyrubs. He wants one when he wakes up, one when I get home from work, one before bed, and anytime in between! Any other Shelties loves their bellyrubs? All I do is ask him to sit, lay down, and then 'bellyrub' gets him to roll over one his back. He stretches out his legs, wags his tail, and makes his little happy noises. The little Sheltie grin comes out, too :D
 
Buffy likes her bellyrubs, especially when she is sleepy. Often in the middle of the day while she is napping in the middle of the hardwood floor, I come over to pet her and she rolls on her back for a belly rub. We call it "pop up or roll over." My favorite is when I'm struggling with something for work and I look over at her and she is on her back asking for a belly rub. Never fails to make me smile. One of the reasons I like to work from home when I can!

OMG Ally is the tummy rub queen. She does what we call "tipping over" and wiggles all her legs and then peeps out from under her ruff to make sure you see that she is in need. :lol:

She also does it if she thinks she's in trouble - this girl knows how to work it. Just about impossible to stay mad at her when she does this!

Asta likes the occasional tummy rub, but for her it's all about ear rubs.
 
At night, Annie Laurie hops up onto the bed and rolls over for her tummy rub. As we rub, she "snorgles" in rapture!!
 
Beau will be 'asleep' in the living room and the minute I walk in or look over at him he does a three quarter turn (roll over and lift his leg up) that's my signal that I'm to come down on the floor and rub his belly.

He also likes getting his belly rubbed during the middle of out walks its really quite funny. Its' like all of a sudden he catches the wind on his belly hair and he just drops and rolls. One lady in her car slammed on her brakes and just about busted a gut laughing. :biggrin2: It really is to funny. I had a friend tell me I shouldn't let him do that but, I'm like what the heck. He's not holding me up and I think he knows people around him like it. so, I'm not stopping it.
 
Shelby likes to get her "shell belly" rubbed to. Especially in the morning when we first get up. I ask her to rub the shell belly and she rolls over for a rub. But he favorite is getting a butt rub! She pushes her head so hard into your stomach so you can reach her butt.

I thought only my Beau did that. If you try to stop before he's ready he'll keep giving you his paw.

Shelties are the best. I love my babe
