bi blue merle with pink nose?

Not a silly question at all, I wondered the same thing, the pups with pink on their noses would it fill in and go black. All the puppies shown are cute. That is a beautiful picture of Mia, and worthy of being blown up into a poster size.

My puppy's nose was pink dotted at the beginning and turned fully black around 5 months of age. He's a blue merle too.

Pink nose

Zephyr (blue merle) had an almost completely pink nose when I first got her. She's a year now and only has two spots left. (one on each nostril). The rest is black. Not sure if ALL pink noses change, but Zephyr's sure did!

It's not a silly question, when I adopted my 2 boys they both had pink noses with a little bit of black. As they got older, the pink disappeared on my Luna Bear's nose, but Ashlee's nose still has a pink spot to this day. Hope that helps.

changing nose color

My bi-blue's nose was almostly completely pink when I got him at 9 weeks. The breeder told me to expect it to turn black over time. My vet jokingly referred to his "possom ancestory" at almost every visit. It did start to fill in, but after it was black on top & bottom at 1 year of age it stopped changing. Then, right after he turned 3 I noticed a pin-sized black dot in the middle, and that started to grow larger.

I don't know if it would have changed completely to black because we sadly lost him to liver disease at 4 1/2 years old. I loved his nose - the color added so much to his sweetness. And I love the looks of the bi-blue but will never get one again. It would be too difficult to have one looking that similar to "Trace".

We are on a couple waiting lists for May puppies & hoping to bring home a little sable boy in July. :biggrin2:

Spruce my bi blue, has lost his pink nose pretty much completely as I type this...
I thought for sure it wouldn't change, in the pics here you can see the progression and since the more recent pic NY day this year, the sliver you see in that pic is now also gone!
I have had Spruce for a year now, he was 16 months when I got him. I have chronicled the 'disappearing kissy spot' in another thread, lol

My boy had a black nose at 3 months when I got him. He still has a splash of pink near his lower lip, however.
