Hi:
here is a link - its not the best picture (camera phone) but it looks like a corn or swollen blister. It doesnt bother him at all and I just noticed it this morning. Not sure how he got it or where but he doesnt lick at it or really pay any attention to it so I wont go to the emergency vet (its sunday). I will however schedule a vet appt. but just wondering if any of you have seen this ?

Wow it looks huge... I have no advice/idea of what it could be but do hope you get that vet appointment on monday and will be praying that he gets better soon <3 I've never seen anything like it personally..!

yikes... Hopefully one of the vets who frequent the Forum can chime in with some insight. I've never seen anything like it, either. Hopefully it's just an odd benign growth.

Dexter

After reading the article, happily I saw that beautiful word "benign" pop out at me.

Keep us updated on little Dexter.

Best,
Kate

wow- Cran had something like that. I'm trying to remember if I ever found out what it was- but it did disappear and haven't seen anything like it on him again.

Any update from the vet yet?? Hopefully you got to get it checked out by now!

Hi - sorry, I did bring him to the vet. She wasnt too alarmed by it. Called it a hystiocytoma. Exactly what Justicemom said. He has been licking it though and the vet did say it looked infected so she put him on cephalexin for 7 days.

I tried to put a bootie on it so he wouldnt lick it but he pretty much took that off within seconds and started chewing on it (the bootie, not the tumor thing). $10 down the drain !!! haha

thanks all !
