Paladin's mother was merle, dad was tri and he has a blue on on the left. It is very light in color and people have actually asked if he can see. This was a very interesting poll.

Dandie, a blue merle, has brown eyes.

Her right eye does have a blue fleck covering about 1/4 of her right eye.

Do I answer the poll since her eyes are technically brown?

Well, maybe it should be -- If they have any blue in their eye(s), is it only on the right or left or in both eyes? In that case I would put Dandie down as 'Female, blue eye on the right side'.

Figaro's mother is a sable merle with startlingly human-looking clear blue eyes.

All of my shelties have medium-brown to dark-brown eyes.

We have two blue merles, one is female and has both brown eyes, the other is male and has the blue eye on the left. It's such a beautiful blue eye too!

my blue merle has the left blue eye. someone told me he is a perfectly marked tri factoured blue merle. have no idea this is the one i rescued that is in debate collie or sheltie.
