Callie- disoriented

Callie appreciates everyone's prayers- she is getting around ok. we are on vacation so she has problems with the porch steps here. she makes it down sometimes and up sometimes but not usually both.
still eating and begging for cookies when she finds you in the kitchen:winkgrin:

so we had a great two week vacation in PA- little agility on the side for the pups.
we had some blood drawn right before we left and heard the results while still up north- those test results were all fine.
so we came home and had another acupuncture session and the vet was removing the needles from Callie's rear and said that she thought the urine smell was off- like she had a UTI. so they took a sample- and yes, she does have an infection. so they've been culturing it and turns out to be an E coli strain- resistant to most antibiotics so that's why her ear meds didn't touch it.
so we get special meds tomorrow. I hope that we can get this cleared up and that it helps her to feel better.

She can still get around when she wants to - we stopped to visit Sheltieluver on our way home from the sheltie party. There's a big fenced field for the pups to play in- soon as I took the leash off, Callie took off for the far end. You would never have known then looking at her, that she had any mobility issues.

She also found her voice again this weekend- she let me know that she wanted something.
and still scarfing any food that she can get her teeth on- I have no idea how many cookies she got on Saturday when I wasn't watching........

Great to hear that Callie was romping around ! Kudos for continuing to chip away at all of these issues that have seemed to converge upon Callie. Hope the new meds can knock that issue out.

I didn't get to give Callie a cookie over the weekend, so please give her one for me.

she will thank you for her extra bedtime cookie tonight:yes:

Praying that the special new medicines Callie gets tomorrow will take care of the infection. (And that she will continue to feel better and better!)

Please give her a big hug from us. Thanks.

I must confess...she had two little charlie bear treats when I was in house,I thought she needed one~ or two~

i'm so glad she was here this weekend,I know I was a bit emotional seeing her,but it was very hard, not to cry. Please give her extra loves from all of us.

And I so hope the new meds take care of the infection, bless her heart.
