We lost Annabelle's cat recently. And we went out and got a Siamese last week.

The kitten is named Melody. Clarabelle is IN LOVE! She refuses to take her eyes off that kitten. If Melody is somewhere she shouldn't be (like the middle of the floor), Clarabelle will move her. Of course, to the kitten, this is nothing more than- that dog won't let me have any fun. And we are trying to get Clarabelle to leave her alone at least a few minutes. Clarabelle loves babies, puppy babies, human babies, kitten babies. They were all put on this earth just for her.
 
Awe, how sweet! I just LOVE how shelties are so tolerant of other animals! LOVE that PHOTO TOO!
 
Shelties just seem to be a great match with cats. All of mine have been great together, altho Faith tries to herd Mario by mouthing/nudging his back legs. Even newcomer Eli is good with Mr. Mario. Congrats on Melody, she is so cute!!
 
Our Samoyed was brought up with 4 cats, and I truly believe he thought he was a cat. When we got our newest kitty (Casanova), Mercutio (the Samoyed) always knew where the kitty was. If we went out and came home, we'd say, "Where's the kitty?" and Mercutio would lead us right to him.
 
Melody Kittenstein sits on me most of the time if I'm sitting. Last night, I needed to shift her to a pillow so I could stand up. I pulled her away from me. She meowed LOUDLY! And within a second, Clarabelle was on the couch, next to Melody licking her and shooting me dirty looks for disturbing the baby.
