Constant Peeing!

Help!! If anyone can help me. My Sheltie ( Thurston) is constantly peeing. Constantly. We have to take him out about every 15 minutes - no joke. He's not peeing on things or sniffing to pee but just all of the sudden he'll stop and just pee on the carpet. No whining to go out - like he does when he needs to poo. He doesn't drink too often. He plays a lot with one of my two other dogs. Any ideas?

Thanks!

We haven't gotten him in the crate yet because we can't find one that we like - for size that is. The one we had for him as a smaller puppy is now too small. Any crate tips ( size) would be helpful. Thanks, beepbeep

hmm

How old is he?
Previously potty-trained?
If he is over 6 months, is he fixed?

You mention 2 other dogs..is he maybe marking?
If it keeps up, I'd say a vet visit is in order to have him checked out.
Most dogs don't like to mess where they live.

As for a crate...it all depends on how big thurston is. I have a larger sheltie who needs a bigger crate than I planned when I got him. Craigslist can be a great way to pick a crate up cheap, though. I got one (black wire crate) from a neighbor whose dogs outgrew it. Some of the wires crates have dividers for a growing puppy.

I hope this helps! Don't delay on the vet if Thurston keeps peeing

Is this a new behavior?

If so, you should get him checked for a urinary tract infection.

Does the pee have a strong smell?

Sounds like maybe a UTI, to me. I'd get a urine sample to the vet, ASAP, if nothing else to at least rule it out.

It's not a strong urine smell at all in fact it's very clear when he does go. It's definitely not marking. I have a female and another male ( they're both older) and he's going to be 6 months in December and will be neutered then. I

I'll try the vet asap!
