Corn chips smell on paws

Sparkle’s paws always smell like corn chips. I searched online and learned this smell was due to bacteria and maybe yeast. I washed her paws with dandruff shampoo (Nizoral) several times. The smell still exists, only a little better. My previous dog (not a sheltie) never had this smell. Some websites say Shelties are prone to this issue. Any of you have found a solution/product that effectively removes this Fritos odor? Many thanks.

My boys paws smell like popcorn lol...I think it's perfectly normal. If you smell a yeasty smell (my last dog was a Cocker and she always had an infection) or an 'off' odour then I'd worry but corn chip/popcorn etc is normal. Also dogs sweat from their pads (my Cocker would get horribly smelling paws when anxious) so this contributes to the smell.

All my dogs paws have smelled like corn chips. Never a problem...it's normal.

Don't worry -- Frito feet are perfectly normal for Shelties.

I had one who did, one who didn’t. Nothing pungent and feet kept trimmed.

Thank you all for chiming in. One of my sons keeps trying to sniff Sparkle’s paws due to the smell of corn chips. He obviously likes corn chips. He even tried to lick them one time. LOL.
