daycare experience

We get monthly newsletters from our daycare. I got this last night. I wanted to share. IMHO, this is just one simple thing that makes a daycare great. I hope all of you have this type of daycare near you.

DEDICATED TO PROVIDING SAFE & EDUCATIONAL DOG DAYCARE

Overexcitement, barking, anxiety and reactivity can lead to other more serious problems in a daycare setting. In fact, it can give dog daycare a bad rap. Onlookers may think daycare is just dogs running wild being housed in a warehouse. Thankfully

Wags & Wiggles is much different.

Even though we are a large facility, we take pride in having adequately trained staff to provide stimulation, education, and love to every dog who attends daycare. Our staffers know each dogs individual wants, likes, talents, special needs and most have nicknames here. We also ensure we have the highest staff:dog ratio of all OC dog daycares.

Recently, we decided to take this a step further.

Peaceful Pups Program was born. This FREE Program offered at Wags & Wiggles is a groundbreaking program that is in its infancy. No other dog daycare offers this. This program is being setup to help dogs who come to daycare and enjoy themselves but cause agitation in the play yards by having an unbalanced energy.

We are dedicated to No Nasty Stuff, only positive training and management. You will be asked should your dog need this program. Dogs who alarm bark at new people, demand bark at staff, have separation anxiety during shift changes or generally can't settle themselves during daily activities are eligible to enroll in this program. These dogs will also reap the benefits in their home life. This program is just getting started so stay tuned.

There are a lot of bad daycares out there, we all know that. And this is why I spend so much dang money at mine!!! lol. I know this wasn't a "helpful" post, but I wanted to share the "good" about daycares too.

I wish I could fine a daycare like yours~~~ but thanks for the info, that really give me some guild line on how to pick a good one

Actually, I think it was a VERY helpful post. It proves that while there are MANY bad day cares out there, that if you do your home work its possible to find good ones too. Yours is obviously a perfect example of what to look for in a daycare provider. I wouldn't hesitate to take my dogs there, if I needed to. :smile2:

pups went yesterday for their first day of daycare. Since it is also our training facility we do know staff and conditions. We also have been to play groups and know some of the dogs. It was really touching to receive a report card- who were my BFF today, who I played with, how did I behave and Drumroll pls!!!! when my poop was!
