Destruction in the house!

Put them in crates or in an ex-pen when you leave.

This right here. All of them else you have some idea who the guilty one is.

Justice and Ember get free roam . Birch does not. He has finally guaduated to being free at night. Though the years there have been many times they have gone back to crate training 101 when something has being chewed up. They get out again if and when I trust them again.

Can I borrow the couch eaters for a day? I need new furniture!

We are avoiding the issue til that last cat kicks the bucket (there are three cats). THE day after the last cat goes I get all new living room furniture AND new carpeting! Cats are 6, 7, & 7. looks like I have about 8-10 years!

If they are destroying EVERYTHING then back to crates would be my advice.

If only select things, then just much sure that those items are put beyond reach. Indy has a thing for toilet paper and scented candles and hard plastic anything (he loves the pop tabs off the milk/juice containers, particulary. And my rabbit fur slippers.....

It really depends on how selective they are in chewing. If they chew everything, then back into crates or restricted areas. If only a few things, then make sure they don't have access

What is it with hard plastic? Dickens will take two weeks to finish an eight-inch bully stick, but he chewed the tops off his big circular "puzzle," and twice when his treat ball was empty he picked it up and dropped it on the floor until it popped open, then chewed up the inside compartment before I could catch him. It must be the texture.

I wouldn't be allowing adolescents free access to anything in the house. Given 3 of your dogs are young and within close age of each other I don't think you have any other option than keeping them confined. No amount of training will stop the behaviour, it's not just their age but with that many young dogs they will be competing with each other and behaviours are going to be amplified. Your fox could have been a $200 mink or $2 dog toy, they really don't know the difference and if it's in reach it's fair game. I know it's upsetting but you'll have to chalk this one up to experience. And time to re-think how you keep them confined, the only one I'd be allowing access beyond a few square feet each is FKap.

I'm still putting chairs on the table when I leave the house - even tho Tully is pushing 7yrs, has a crook hip and can barely walk. Never been able to train it out of her. So I had to change my habits and when I forget about the chairs, can only blame myself.

Actually, F-kap is the one I trust the LEAST. Over the past year he's developed some bad behaviors, most resonantly is taring things up. The fox was up too high for the girls to reach, and Jody is affrade of it. So that leaves F-kap. I thought I'd kept it out of all of their reach. I found fox fur and skin stuck in F-kap's teeth and when he get's something he likes he usually dosn't share it with anyone but Ida. She gets into enough trouble as it is without his help. So I'll brake out the x-pen and put them in jail when I leave today. I would be VERY surprised if Jody or Sarah caused any trouble. But like Trini experienced, even the most well behaved dog can go nuts, so I'll start investing more in some crates. I haven't had one since F-kap was a tiny puppy, that's 10 years ago this March.:o
