Dickens at seven months.

He is beautiful! I love the name too:yes:

He's named after my favorite author, Charles Dickens. I suppose it's the most original name I've ever given a dog, because his Mom is somewhat conventional, and she usually trumps any name I can come up with. However, we got him just nine days before Christmas, and I think Dickens was on her mind because she and my daughter had planned to present me with a facisimile copy of Dickens's handwritten manuscript for "A Christmas Carol." We were going over names while watching "Scrooge" on TV, and I suggested Marley as a name. When that didn't fly I said, "Well, how about Dickens?" And to my surprise she heartily concurred!

He is beautiful! I love his snout. There is something about a collie/sheltie nose I have always adored.

Thanks; I'm thinking he really does have more of a Collie look to that nose, although there is a stop; just not a very prominent one!
