Dickens at six months.

Dickens has finally started growing into his face and is beginning to look like a Sheltie of sorts, albeit a very big one! We took these photos just after he had a bath and had dried himself on the family-room furniture.

He just turned six months today. He's 17 inches and 26 pounds now, so I imagine he's going to be a big one in the end!

Yes, but it looks as if Dickens has finally gotten out of it. My wife used to remark about his ugly "rat tail," but now it's nice and fluffy. I can't wait to see him with a full coat, although the breeder told us it probably wouldn't get as full as some Shelties--Mom and Dad had modest coats. Incidentally, Dickens still has some work to do to grow out of that big head!

What a handsome fellow, but then again I'm a bit biased... Dickens looks a lot like my Lerwick (especially at that age)! Though Dickens is already bigger than Lerwick (by 1/2 an inch and 2 lbs) and Lerwick will be 2 in June!

Wow he is a big boy. I love big Shelties. Mine are a tad bigger than him full grown. He is sure cute.

Thanks! His Mom weighed 44 pounds, and at first I could have sworn she was a collie. I'm not too concerned with his size, especially given that he's so gentle and well-behaved.
