Do shelties cluck?

Hollie used to make a similar sound when sleeping. I used to think it sounded like she was trying to suckle. Hollie also would snort when playing. She also snored when she got older

Shelby doesn't cluck but she does click her teeth/chatter. She does this when she wants something. It looks like she is trying to bark but nothing comes out. She does also snort when she has her ball in her mouth.
 
Jonesie Dream moans when I rub her backside (a grateful moan :biggrin2:)

Daisy does a goofy quick snorting thing when she is getting her ears rubbed.

But I have not heard any clucking here.

I tried yesterday, no dice. She did it a couple times today. I will keep working on getting this sound. Makes me wonder if maybe her previous owner made this sound and the dog learned to copy it in some way. She will mimick if you make different noises to her.
 
Odd noises

Mac hasn't done the clucking thing, but he has this whine/sight, very light if he needs to be let out back to do hid business, or wants to play fetch. He also has a definite "purr" when I embrace him to give him a chin or ear rub and whisper sweet nothings in his ear. Pretty cute stuff! He does snort a lot when he has a ball in his mouth that he has just fetched ... happy excitement-induced I assume.
