Dog hair dryer

Any good recommendation of any good dog hairdryer?
i was thinking of getting metro master blaster with 4hp , peak of 8hp.
do you guys think this is too much? currently i'm using a human hairdryer which takes far too long to dry her and it seems to dry out her fur, making it rough and coarse.

I like the 2 speeds because they dont mind it on high on the back of them but as I get near their heads they like the lower speed...and I also use the lower on puppies too....With 6 shelties to wash and dry I'd never be done with a hand held human dryer!!:smile2:

But just a mention about it too...although your in a warm climate these dryers do not have a heat element in them so they blow out air thats right around room temperature.
 
My landlord and I have retired all the Metro dryers, and sold all but one, because the motors shed carbon into the coats. Her SPoodle spent 6-8 hours a week under it, and her coat turned gray and got brittle. The brittle hair broke off, then matted. It was a mess. Turns out it was the dryer. She bought a top of the line Speedy and has never looked back.

Metro dryers are high VELOCITY. To dry the dog, you really want high VOLUME. You don't need the air to move fast, you just need a lot of it. The Metros are also really noisy. Chris Christensen has a new one out, the Speedy's are awesome.
 
Omg, now I would have to reconsider my choice. anyone else have got bad experience with metro? or any other good recommendations?

Interesting, I haven't noticed anything like that with mine, or with the one we use after Sadie's rehab.
 
For Shelties who spend 2 hours a month under it, it probably doesn't matter. And people say you can replace the carbon brushes, but she preferred to have a quieter model that she didn't have to deal with.
 
i will be getting the metro 2 speed since the 8hp peak seems a little too much for one sheltie. sadly, singapore has such limited pet grooming equipments in terms of brand and variety. it's so costly to ship the dryer over since the shipping cost literally can buy me another dryer ;/ just have to wait for my sister to return from US and bring the dryer along for cheaper shipping ;D
