Dog Safe Mouse Poison?

Yuck...rats and mice! I had a mouse in my garage last year from using my dehydrator in there. I had a hard time going in there after that, I can't imagine if I had rats...think I'd move:no:!

Of course the safest way is to get more cats :sneaky:

We had a feral female cat for years and never saw mice except that time she brought a baby mouse over from neighbors junky backyard and played with it ewww :bigtears:

After she died we had a massive amount of mice running amok in the yard. Cats are the best thing to get rid of mice.

At one point we had 3 cats in the house and the mice stole their food from the automatic feeder... Still love my cat, even if his mousing abilities are a total failure. I would say absolutely NOT on poisoning mice - they tend to hide away, like between a wall, to crawl off and die and then you have to deal with attempting to get a dead, decomposing mouse out from between your walls - the odor is horrific - knew someone who did it - just DON'T.

Rat traps work well on mice, they can easily figure out mouse traps. But for small places, you can use mouse traps. We bait with the tiniest piece of apple topped with the tiniest dab of peanut butter. Anything too big, they eat around the edges and don't get caught. I like the wooden snap traps - I figure a quick death is the most humane - the cute little plastic ones don't work as well and I don't feel are as humane. Mice travel along walls, edges, so place your traps there. Will have to keep Kip contained - wouldn't want him messing with traps. We have issues every year with mice trying to move in once the chilly weather arrives. Remove all sources of paper or stuff they can chew on. I ended up storing all the stuff in our basement and game room downstairs in plastic bins with sealed tops. You can't give them anything to want to come in after.

Lisa - same here :gaah
- Minnie is very interested in the mice in the backyard,
I think she thinks there are her friends,
she gets a lot of time to sniff for them,
but luckily I have never seen her catch anyone
