Dora update...

I've been MIA for the past few weeks. My mother-in-law has been in the hospital (then nursing home), grandbaby was in PICU at the same time with RSV, then 12 year old son broke his arm playing baseball.

My sheltie babies are doing great though! Dora (Lochmere's Isadorable) has quickly become my heart dog (actually one of my 3 heart dogs...along with Gus and Homer). Dora is my constant companion. She sleeps in my bed and follows me everywhere. We still can't tell for sure if she's pregnant. I haven't had time for her vet check. Hopefully, I can get her there this week. Either way, she's my baby girl! Her appetite hs returned to normal, although she is a bit spoiled now because I babied her during her transition.

The rest of the gang are as busy as usual!

Life sure is a twisty road at times! Your girl is beautiful and I hope she's going to give you a healthy and beautiful litter!

Sorry about all the family problems but glad the furkids are OK. Dora is so pretty; glad she has settled in and you two are so bonded. Keep us posted!

Oh wow. You sure had a lot going on. Sounds like everyone's being taken cared of. Hope they all recover fast!

Dora is such a sweet blue merle! I love her colorings. How many litters has she had before? Maybe she'll produce more merles :biggrin2: I'm impartial to them because of Asher

She had 2 litters before we got her. There was 7 puppies in each litter. She was bred to Am/C CH Apple Acres Associated Press this time. I'm hopeful that she is pregnant, but if she is I will be surprised if it is that many pups. I think there was 4 blue Merles in her last litter. I would love to have babies from this breeding, but if not I will just be happy with my sweet girl, and try again next heat. She is such a sweetie!

Oh well ... There doesn't appear to be any puppies

I guess with all the stress from her adjusting to her move, the breeding didn't take. We will probably try agin in a few months. In the meantime, I will just keep spoiling her rotten.

Oh wow. Apple Acres is very prestigious. Asher has a few bloodlines from them in his pedigree. Sounds like her merle trait gets passed along more easily too. Merles rule!

Aww I'm sorry about the litter. Guess she'll just have to suffice with your spoiling for now. Lucky girl

Thank you! Dora is an Apple acres girl too. Her sire was CH Apple acres Best Man and her dam is Apple Acres Spring Bloom. She is an Armani granddaughter on both sides. So we really hope to get a litter of puppies someday, but I can wait.
