Dutchess is coming home on Saturday!

Hi Char!

The day is finally getting closer, and I know from the many talks we have had, this is a special day for you & hubby!

I want to thank you,for the friendship, the many calls we have had.
When we brought both of the boys home,it was a 4 hour or so drive each way as well. Trapp did well,he did pee on papers and also the directions to Janets. At the time I remember asking Brian.."baby..do you think we will need directions to Janets to get home" and he said..naaa. It was a good thing!

I did prepare the back of the Escape for a potty area for Jasper, which he did not use.But surely did potty as soon as we got him home. I would go prepared with paper towels, baby wipes just in case.
Can't wait for homecoming pics!!

Congrates & good luck, alot just depends on the pup, our new pup is traveling in the car great no problems at all so far and hasn't been sick at all, Cosmo was sick 4 times as a pup on the way home a 2HR drive & continues to get car sick to this day , Just not as much as before, with him its hit or miss now, sometimes he gets sick & sometimes he's fine no real predictor or pattern we have found or been able to determine, at least it is not as often now as he gets older.

Congrats!! I just got my little Lucien (he is about half the age of Dutchess) on Saturday too :)

My experience was similar to corbinam's: he cried the first 10 minutes, then settle down. However, he did not sleep at all, but instead try to wander around. He was on my lap, on a sheet just in case, like labgirl will do for Merlin. At first he did not like it at all, but by the end of the ride he was licking my nose and chin haha.

Again, congrats on your little girl!

This is turning into a puppy Saturday and I'm looking forward to all the info and tips that you and Labgirl will be exchanging after Saturday - and of course all the puppy pics. Congratulations.

Congratulations on Dutchess:biggrin2:
I think baby shelties usually seem to be ok even on long car rides. Can't wait to enjoy lots more pics of puppy cuteness:yes:

Well, my thought all along was to take a pack of puppy pads with us so that if she should have an accident, we will be covered.....no pun intended!! lol I have gotten so many awesome friends on here and really appreciate all the feedback! Michele...you are such a very special and good friend-thank you for listening to all my talking and the many calls that we have shared. Janet too! I will probably have to find out from you all how I can post pics on here once I bring this little girl home!!! It has been a long time in the making and thanks to all of you who have given such wonderful advise!!!
thank you Thank you Thank you!!!!!

Five days and counting!!!!!!

:biggrin2:
