Ear tapeing

I just taped Daisy's ear yesterday and was wondering how long do I leave each it on her ear before removing them?

I took some pictures last night, I will post some pictures later when I get home from work.
 
You need the remover because I find the top always sticks, the bottom near the ear canal on mine will start to lift up thats how I can tell its time to change it, and it usually is around 2 weeks (if im lucky and get the full 2 weeks:yes:)

I already see a little loose corner coming out, just a little bit. Daisy has been scratching that left ear. Look like I gotta start buying my Detachol.

On amazon they are selling the Detachol adhesive remover in the bottle and are the vials the glue? I just need the bottle right? http://www.amazon.com/Detachol-Vial...GK2C/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1288453773&sr=8-4
 
Ive found detchol to be VERY oily, thus making re-taping hard since it wont stick with the oil. I use zo eze since it leaves no oil, and I can re tape right away if needed. Check her ear to see if there is a stand of fur caught in the tape, that is the biggest thing that irritates them to scratch.

I made sure the tape did not stick to the hair on the ear lateral to the eyes. I had my brother hold her head so all I got was the short hair on the inner ears and hair on the tip of ears.

What tape do you use?

We use Yutokuban. Leave it for about 2 wks or until it drops off. Usually we just get an alcohol wipe to get the mucky bits out. They will come out eventually.

I use Yutokuban too, I see a little bit of the tape coming off after a few day. I'm thinking that it will come off before 2 weeks.

This is her first time getting taped so she scratches it. Probably when she get used to it then it would probably last long.
 
i did not see this asked in this thread, but how old should they be when their ears should be taped? I thought Maverick's would go up eventually, but they are still folded over.
