Elevated SDMA in a young dog

No bacteria in the sample... so that doesn't explain the findings. All I can do now is try to concetrate on the gerd issues and try not to worry about the kidneys. We're going to the vet's again in three weeks for another round of tests.

Take4roll10, what did the vet think about your situation? Did he have any suggestions what could be causing it? Have they done an ultrasound, did everything look normal?

My dog has other ongoing issues besides her high-normal SDMA. She has low specific gravity urine (watery), excessive water drinking and urinating, losing fur, and neurological issues that may be petite seizures. Cortisol, Thyroid and bloodwork are all normal, so she is quite the mystery! She has had an abdominal sonogram, which showed normal functioning kidneys, but they are small for her size.
